All Bookings require a non-refundable booking fee to secure your appointment. This fee is proportional to the overall cost of the treatment and the time taken to deliver the service. PLEASE VIEW OUR POLICY PRIOR TO BOOKING.
CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY
We have a 36 hour cancellation policy which is sent to every client via email at the time you book your appointment. If for any reason you cannot attend your appointment, 36 hours notice is required to reschedule. If 36 hours notice has not been given, your booking fee will be charged as a missed appointment fee and a further booking fee will be required to reschedule.
If you miss your complimentary appointment without a 36 hours notice you will forfeit your complimentary treatment. Standard prices will apply to reschedule it – as published on our web site for each treatment

Hifu Facial Uplift
What is HIFU?
HIFU technology is not like lasers, radio frequency, surgery and other technologies. It is non-surgical. The HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) beams through the surface of the skin to deliver precise and fractional ultrasound energy at the right depths (i.e., 3.0mm/4.5mm) to the SMAS layer without damage or disrupting the epidermal tissue of the skin. This energy stimulates both muscle firming and new collagen production, with no disruption to the outer skin surface (no scarring). It is especially suitable for treating sagging skin with reasonable thickness as well.
HIFU Facelift
HIFU Treatment (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a breakthrough, non-invasive, non-surgical, no downtime, in-office procedure for lifting and tightening sagging skin of the brows, cheeks, lower face (jowls), jawline and neck. Ultrasound technology is focused below the skin surface to firm and lift droopy tissues.
It works deep below the surface to stimulate the growth of collagen “without harming the outer layer of skin”. This results in long-lasting firming, tightening and lifting of the skin, giving you a more youthful appearance after just one treatment. While HIFU is not a replacement for a surgical face lift, there are many people who want some lifting but are not ready for surgery. There are also younger people who are looking to prolong the effects of plastic surgery.
How long do the results of HIFU last?
HIFU results are permanent and will continue improving gradually for up to six months following the treatment. You will not be frozen in time. After six months, as with any age defying treatment, your skin will naturally continue to age but HIFU can give you fresher, younger looking skin for approximately 12 to 24 months after your treatment. Follow up treatments can assist with the ageing process, which varies from person to person, but are recommended every 12 to 24 months to maintain results.
Fractional RF is also very effective at protecting and maintaining your HIFU results. RF treatment can be done one month after the HIFU treatment.
Contra indications
People who have open lesions or wounds, cystic acne, existing keloid scarring, mechanical or dermal implants, skin fillers or other injectables, implanted electrical devices or metal implants in the face or treated area, pregnancy or breastfeeding, angiocardiopathy (heart), hypertension, liver and kidney diseases, skin disease, including AIDS & HIV, highly sensitive skin or allergic skin (including protein allergy) should not proceed with HIFU.
How safe is HIFU?
HIFU uses the safe, time-tested ultrasound, which has been effective in clinical studies and over 350,000 patient treatments worldwide. Ultrasound has been used safely in the medical field for over 50 years. HIFU is one of the few treatments safe for all skin types, as it uses ultrasound and bypasses the upper layers of skin where the pigment cells are located.
Are there any side effects from HIFU?
HIFU may cause a slight redness to the skin, but this usually disappears within a matter of hours after the treatment. Face can feel like it has had a workout for several weeks afterwards. Makeup application after the treatment can be made to mask any mild redness that may have occurred. Some people may also suffer from a slight swelling, tenderness, numbness or tingling sensation. These symptoms are usually mild and only last temporarily.
How painful is HIFU?
HIFU may cause some discomfort. Comfort levels can vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the energy is being delivered.
During the treatment delivery, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated.
After Your Treatment
There is no downtime! You can return to your normal activities immediately after your procedure without any post-treatment restrictions or requirements. Your skin might appear flushed at first, but the redness should disappear within a few hours.
Other, less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of skin. As with any medical procedure, there is the possibility for other rare effects.

What is HIFU Glow Facial?
HIFU GLOW facial is a new treatment add on to our HIFU technology for face and neck uplift. We can now treat sensitive areas around the mouth and eyes at a depth of 1.5 mm which produces incredible results extremely quickly. Some of our customers get immediate results – radiant, plumped and more youthful skin.
This is also an excellent alternative to plasma cosmetic treatment around the mouth and eyes, but with no down time. For those customers with darker skin that cannot be treated with plasma, this is the best way to go.

More Information: Regular HIFU is done at two depths: 4.5mm and 3mm. That is for general face lifting and skin tightening. We cannot use these two cartridges too close to the mouth and eyes. That is why we use the 1.5 mm cartridge for sensitive areas around the mouth and eyes. When applied to general face and neck areas (like the 4.5 mm and 3 mm cartridges, HIFU glow produces quicker results by being very effective at dealing with fine lines. All our HIFU machines are 3D HIFU machines. It is a matter of which cartridges are used for the treatment. 3D simply means we apply the procedure at three different depths of the skin.
What is HIFU Mini or Mini HIFU?
You will not find this anywhere else – EXCLUSIVE to SABA Medispa. We are the only clinic with Mini HIFU technology on the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas. HIFU Mini is a completely different device from 3D HIFU. It has a much smaller wand (pen like) which allows us to get into small and tight spaces that cannot be reached with a regular HIFU device with a very large wand/cartridge. It goes at a depth of 1.5mm which allows us to treat the eyelids & eye bags.

They are simply using their existing HIFU machine and a 1.5 mm cartridge to sell and perform this procedure. We call this HIFU Glow Facial, but it certainly isn’t HIFU Mini. The standard size HIFU handle and associated cartridges are simply way to large to get into small spaces and treat all the sensitive areas shown on our picture.
After care and advice post HIFU treatme
There is no downtime! You can return to your normal activities immediately after your procedure.
The skin may be slightly pink or red in areas following the treatment, only use cool water when washing the face.
Expect that the treated area to feel sore to touch for up to 4 weeks.
Slight to mild swelling can occur – this is normal. Ice packs and a steroid cream can be applied to calm if necessary. If minor scabs appear avoid picking, allow the skin to heal.
Makeup (preferably mineral based) may be applied immediately post treatment. Soothing, non-irritating creams or moisturisers may be used.
Avoid sun exposure immediately after the treatment and apply minimum of 30+
Avoid exfoliating or products containing aha/bha’s for at least a week or until all sensitivity has subsided.
Avoid strenuous exercise/straining of the treated area(s) for 3-4 weeks. For the first 2 days post treatment don’t exert treated area however light exercise such as walking is fine.
Increase protein intake to boost the skin healing and collagen regeneration process.
Taking a vitamin C supplement is beneficial for collagen synthesis and is a vital nutrient for skin health.

HIFU body sculpting is a non-invasive treatment for removing stubborn body fat, skin toning and tightening. LED Light Therapy
Who would have thought that scientific experiments conducted by NASA on how to grow plants in space would have lead to the most significant break through the beauty industry has ever seen. Like most accidental discoveries NASA were not looking at ways to reduce wrinkles or make women look 10 years younger but were surprised to discover that the LED lights they were experimenting with as a means to grow plants in space helped astronauts recover faster from injuries sustained during weightlessness.
LED activates skin cells with pulses of low level, non thermal light energy. The cell converts light energy into fuel (much like photosynthesis) in turn stimulating the cells to produce proteins and lipids essential for building and repairing the skin. More research confirmed that LED could speed healing, reduce inflammation and stimulate fibroblasts and collagen production, by as much as 200% within just 24 hours of treatment!

LED Light Therapy
The body is made up of cells that are generally capable of healing and reproducing on their own using naturally occurring cellular energy known as adenosine triphospate or ATP. When the skin is damaged, ATP stimulates cell regeneration to heal and restore the injured area. How LED Light Therapy works
Your Skin is made up of 3 layers: the Epidermis, the Dermis and the Subcutaneous.
The Epidermis is the outer layer made up of non-living cells that form your body’s protective cover. These cells are constantly being shed and replaced by new ones. The new cells are made in the lower part of the Epidermis. These are called Keratinocytes which produce the tough, fibrous protein called Keratin.
The next layer is the Dermis. It is thicker and contains blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue. There are two main proteins in the Dermis or second layer of skin:
Collagen, approximately 3/4 of the Dermis is made up of this protein which is responsible for the strength and plumpness of the skin
Elastin, which is responsible mainly for the elasticity of the skin.
The next layer is the Subcutaneous, it is the layer that contains the fatty tissues and stores energy, provides warmth and a cushion etc.People need certain wavelengths of light similar to the way plants need sunlight to thrive.
LED Light Therapy translates the process of plant photosynthesis into the workings of human skin cells; stimulating the body’s own cells to build new proteins the same way plants use Chlorophyll to convert sunlight into cellular building blocks.Your skin and other body tissues have the ability to absorb light and use it as a source of energy to stimulate cellular regeneration. What does each colour do for the skin and cells?
Each colour has its own frequency and vibration, colour and light bring physical, mental and spiritual and emotional systems to balance.

Some may need 6 to 8 sessions to see dramatic results on their skin. How long has this technology been around?
It has been used in Europe for 30 years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is LED safe?
YES! It has been proven in numerous studies that Far Red to Near- Infrared(670nm) LED photo rejuvenation does not harm the human body. The energy delivered is safe for all skin types.
How long before client can see results?
You should notice a healthy glow after the first treatment on your client’s skin. However, each person responds at different rates. Factors that influence this include various physical conditions, age, diet, alcohol consumption, prescription drug usage, smoking, exercise, etc.
Can LED treatment be used on someone who has been treated recently with injections?
No, Fillers will not be affected negatively with the Fractional Radio Frequency treatment. You can just make sure that you give your face/treated area two weeks before/after the next treatment.
Did you know it is great for bruises, it makes it go away much more quickly than bruises typically do.
The research NASA did showed tremendous benefits for inflammatory and circulatory conditions. You’ll be pleased with the results!
How many treatments?

Additional information – Please read through the following if you are interested in a HIFU treatment (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound).HIFU is based on ultrasound technology that gives the result of a face uplift without invasive surgery. The treatment is unlike injectables as it will not give you a frozen or puffed-out look but rather a natural skin tightening and a lift that will allow you to keep the character in your face and leave you looking 5-10 years younger!
Your friends will notice that your skin has a new texture, looking fresh and amazing but won’t know what you have done as HIFU produces a natural rejuvenation look!
Consultations and Paperwork
We charge a nominal fee of $50 for our consultations. A HIFU consultation will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Your $50 consultation fee will count towards your deposit. If you decide to go ahead with the treatment, we will ask you to pay a deposit before the treatment is booked. Full face and neck HIFU treatment will take approximately 2.5 hours (including photographs). Body sculpting treatments vary in duration from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours.
Payment plan customers will also be asked to fill in a payment plan form before we book you in for your treatment. Completed payment plans must be submitted at least one week prior to your treatment.
You will also be required to fill in a client form prior to the treatment and we will take photos. We will then mark the areas of your face that are being treated. Following this the HIFU machine will then applied to the face, neck or body in the desired areas sending high intensity ultrasound pulses focused deep into the muscle layer. As this energy is delivered collagen starts to build and repair. This process begins immediately and the whole process will continue for up to 6 months. Over this time all levels of the skin down to the muscle layer will continue to heal repair and tighten.
If you are sensitive to pain, you might choose to self-medicate half an hour before the treatment to make the experience more comfortable. You CAN go home straight after the treatment unless you have self-medicated in which case you should make travel arrangements.

Ultra Peels
Ultraderm provides a range of skin peels to suit different skin concerns. Skin will benefit from exfoliation that will improve skin radiance, texture and tone.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure which gently resurfaces the skin. It exfoliates and remove the superficial layer of dry, dead skin cells to improve the texture and quality of your skin.This exfoliation is performed with medical grade mineral crystals or diamond tip which brushes the skin’s surface creating a gentle vacuum. How does Fractional RF(Radio Frequency) work?
Fractional RF delivers accurate Bipolar/Monopolar RF energy to the skin by a tip built of an array of small pins and return electrodes to create microscopic thermal zones (MTZ). Yes, as science has proved up until now the more different combinations of treatments we do, the better! Peels can be done after at least 1-2 weeks of treatment depending of the healing of previous treatment.
