ABOUT PLASMA NON SURGICAL EYELID LIFT AND WRINKLE REMOVAL TREATMENT
Plasma Cosmetic is an amazing new alternative to Eyelid, Neck Lift surgery and wrinkle removal. Plasma Cosmetic treatment is a non-invasive treatment that shrinks excess skin, bags and wrinkles on your face! Plasma uses a new ‘plasma technology’. It works by using a tiny plasma arc to stimulate an instant contraction and tightening of the skin fibres. (Sometimes called a Fibroblast treatment).
Until recently, surgical blepharoplasty (commonly known as eye lift surgery) was the most effective and conventional way to improve the appearance of tired eyes, heavy eyes, hooded and puffy eyes. However, now there is a new system known as Plasma Cosmetic Surgery non surgical eye lift Sydney, neck lift and Ultherapy in Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast. This is a fantastic anti-ageing solution for those who do not want to go under the knife and are looking for a different solution that is also more affordable.
The. small plasma flash issued from the machine hand piece, in addition to its evaporation effect, simultaneously exerts a corrective, tissue-tightening, which ensures rapid and scar-less healing. there is no heat to surrounding tissue. The elasticity of the skin is improved and tightening is made possible. There is no damage to the skin, no open wounds and the healing time is low. There is no general anaesthetic, no cutting or stitching and very little down time.
How does it work?
The machine conductor tip creates a tiny plasma flash from the tip (similar to a tiny lightening bolt). The tip does not touch the skin. The plasma lightning jumps from the tip to the skin and evaporates, leaving a very small superficial brown carbon spots that look like freckles. There is no heat to the surrounding skin. These small spots draw the skin together in their direct environment and shrink the excess skin. We follow a specific pattern to set the points to look like a grid (a reduction grid).
This is a non surgical, non-invasive treatment that shrinks excess skin, bags and wrinkles! This treatment protocol is also used for other areas of the face/body.
Do I need a consultation?
Yes. Anyone interested in a Plasma Cosmetic treatment is required to have a consultation. Your practitioner will assess and suggest a treatment plan for you. Every client is different and the way the skin ages varies for each individual; the treatment needs to be planned according to the needs of each client. Some clients may need more than one treatment to achieve the desired result. We like our clients to be fully informed and to meet their expectations.
How long does the treatment take?
We allow 90 minutes including time for the anaesthetic to work and consent forms to be completed. If we are treating a second area during one session (for example top lip in addition to the eye lid lift), the second area will take additional 45 minutes to 1 hour.
On the Gold Coast, you will need to order your pre-numbing anaesthetic cream from Tugan Compounding and bring this with you on the day of your treatment. Please call 07 5598 2411 to order – they know about plasma cosmetic treatments and what cream to send to you. If you prefer to go to your local compounding chemist please ask for a 10g tube of topical anaesthetic – Lidocaine 6%, Tetracaine 4%.
When will I see results?
Results can usually be seen immediately, full result should be visible after 2-4 weeks however the treated area will continue to improve for 2-3 months. Results are expected to last 2-3 years, the treatment can be repeated.
How Many treatments will I need?
One treatment is often enough depending on skin type, severity of wrinkles and client’s expectation. For some a 2nd or even 3rd treatment may be required to achieve the desired outcome. Follow up treatments can be carried after 8-12 weeks.
What after effects can be expected?
Plasma Cosmetic treatments are very safe. On rare occasions, there have been reports of hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to the local anaesthetic, wound healing problems, skin infections, scarring, slight swelling, redness, tingling, the occurrence of herpes simplex (cold sore) and skin depigmentation (whitening).
Immediately after the procedure, the treated area will be quite red and mildly swollen. This can last from 1-3 days. The small carbon dots will dry to become small crusts. These crusts must not under any circumstances be picked or scratched off, they must be left to fall off on their own which can take anything from 5-14 days. These dots can be covered with a mineral foundation or mineral concealer. Once the crusts have fallen off it is imperative that you use the PlaCo Peptide Healing Serum and use an SPF 50 sunscreen. Absolutely no sun on the area without protection for 3 months.
How does the PlaCo eye lifting treatment work?
The PlaCo machine tip produces a tiny plasma flash (similar to a mini lightening bolt). The tip does not touch the skin. The plasma lightning jumps from the tip to the skin and causes tiny superficial sized brown carbon spots that look like freckles. We follow a specific pattern and set the points to form a grid called a reduction grid. The amount of dots and their placement draw the skin together shrinking the excess skin.
Are the PlaCo treatments safe?
Yes most definitely. It is state-of-the-art technology, our machine is made in Germany and of the highest quality, It is certified by European CE. This means it meets high safety, health and environmental protection requirements.

Plasma Cosmetic is not suitable for a very dark skin either because it will cause de-pigmentation. You will need to be off Roacutane for a minimum of 6-12 months before we can treat you with plasma.

Typically around 2-3 years, but is subject to the number of treatments you may require, your lifestyle and how you personally age. You will continue to age and your skin will continue to relax as part of the normal ageing process, and eventually you may see problems such as wrinkles and saggy skin re-appear. However the PlaCo Plasma Cosmetic treatment can simply be repeated again.
How much do treatments cost?
In addition to the eye lid lift, other areas of the face can be treated such as frown lines, marionette lines, upper lip lines, neck wrinkles, crow’s feet etc. If a 2nd treatment is required the cost of this will be determined by the practitioner, taking into consideration the amount of work that is required, but will generally be around 50% of the original treatment cost. Deeper lines or very heavy eyelids could possibly need 2-3 treatments. The second/third treatment is ideally carried out 2-3 months after the initial one as the results from the first treatment continue to improve during this period.
